About Us _

PC Medics is a small computer technology business with big talent.  With over 20 years of experience in the field our owner, Alexander Beeftink, has been fixing computers since before the internet existed, and has continued to stay abreast of the technology.

Our goal is to provide quality computer support to small businesses in a way that will allow them to compete with bigger businesses who can afford in-house technicians.  In today's business world reliable computers are an essential part of every business.  Small business often suffer big set backs when they are faced with computer issues. There`s no one better to trust to get your small business computing needs running smoothly.
Contact us today, and remember:  "If we can't fix it, we won't charge!"

Alex's has been, professionally, fixing computer hardware and software problems for over 20 years. His first client was a referral from a family friend in 1997. They were so pleased with the work he had done that they referred their friends and Alex's business began to grow.  He chose the company name PC Medics, because a number of his clients would joke that they were glad they'd called in the computer medic to help them with their sick computer.  Today he is one of the top Computer Technicians in the National Capital Region.

As the son of a hardware engineer Alex grew up exposed to all the latest technology and had the benefits of learning how to build and use computers since the inception of the home computer.  His first computer came in pieces like a Lego toy.  His Dad built it while he watched attentively.  From that point forward he was hooked, and at the age of 5 he started learning how to program the computer to do things like display his name. Around the age of 13 he was making computer games for himself and his friends. At the age of 15 he created and posted the code used today that tells your computer to turn on and off the lights for the Num Lock and Caps Lock keys.

In the late 1990's he studied Computer Science at Carleton University and Algonquin college and got his first programming job before completing this degree.  At the time, he found himself enjoying the hardware and software repair more than the programming aspects of his job.  When he began getting more and more requests for onsite computer repair, he opted to focus his talents as a computer technician and left programming.

Alex has found himself missing the creative and technical aspects of programming. Recently, he returned to school to refresh his computer programming skills but continues to serve his clients and grow his computer support company.  In the near future PC Medics will expand it's services beyond computer hardware and software support and into computer programming and webpage design.

Stay tuned. This is an up and coming company run by one of the best computer technicians in the National Capital Area.
